This crown, titled The Empty Nest, was inspired by Nancy Tillman's children's book, The Crown on Your Head. Safely perched high in the top canopy of a longstanding tree, the poem that surrounds the crown provokes the thoughts and feelings of any creature that has raised and fledged their young.
